Line art wallpapers: one object, one fine line

What you are looking at

Line art is drawing reduced to its outline. Without shading or texture, a few strokes have to carry the whole object, which is why simple subjects work best: a coupe glass, a teapot, a fountain pen, a lounge chair. The shop has 69 of them across three sets of 23, and every drawing uses the same fine, even line so a whole set reads as one hand.

The grounds are flat, muted colours — mustard, sage, terracotta rose, taupe, dusty blue, plum — chosen to sit quietly behind your windows rather than compete with them.

Why a single line works on a desktop

A desktop is mostly covered: windows, a dock or taskbar, icons, widgets. A busy photo fights with all of that; a flat colour with one small drawing gives the screen a point of focus when it is clear and simply becomes a colour when it is not.

Flat colour also behaves well technically. It does not band on cheaper displays the way gradients can, and it looks the same in light and dark mode.

What is in each set

Nº1 includes a camera, cassette, croissant, vinyl record, wristwatch, lounge chair and pearls, among 23. Nº2 has champagne, a kettle, macaron, oyster, piano and ski goggles. Nº3 has sushi, a teapot, trumpet, eclair, tennis racket and cufflinks. The Complete Collection is all 69 in one download for $12.99, and Nº0 is three free wallpapers so you can try the look on your own screen first.
